Deputy’s report: Mother allegedly punches daughter in face several times

The following are excerpts from just some of the reports recently generated by the Texas County Sheriff’s Department:

• A deputy was dispatched May 7 regarding a report of a crash near a Friendship Drive residence at Raymondville.

Upon arrival, the officer observed drops of blood on the steps leading to the doorway and broken glass on the front door. Inside, the deputy observed signs of a physical altercation, including a smashed lamp on the kitchen floor and damaged bedroom and bathroom doors.

Neighbors told the officer a man and woman had been in a fight. The man, 25, and woman, 20, had reportedly been traveling at a high rate of speed and crashed into a tree.

The woman was life-flighted to a hospital in Springfield and the man was taken by ambulance to a hospital in Rolla.

• McKenzie Shoults, 23, of 22573 Hardwood Drive at Hartshorn, was issued a citation for littering on April 30.

On April 29, a deputy was dispatched regarding a report of trash dumped on a property on Timberhill Road in Raymondville. The officer found evidence that the trash belonged to Shoults.

• A deputy was dispatched April 29 regarding a report of a domestic disturbance at a Brushy Creek Road residence in Houston.

A man there told the officer his 17-year-old daughter had been punched in the face several times and kicked by her 45-year-old mother, who had left the scene.

Nobody involved wished to pursue charges.
