The South Central Solid Waste Management District is partnering with the City of Houston to hold a one-day free e-waste recycling event today. (Saturday, May 18).
The event will take place from 10 a.m. to noon at 204 W. Spruce St. in Houston. Residents from Douglas, Howell, Oregon, Ozark, Shannon, Texas and Wright counties are encouraged to participate. The event is first come, first served until the transport truck is full.
Computers, monitors, cables/wires, televisions, VCR/DVD players, most appliances, stereo equipment, office equipment and cell phones are all accepted. Refrigerators are not accepted.
