Texas County was the No. 4 county in the state in the spring firearms turkey season on Thursday morning, the Missouri Department of Conservation reported.
Texas County hunters had killed 675 turkeys by early Thursday, according to figures from the Missouri Department of Conservation.
In the county, 547 adult gobblers, 120 juvenile gobblers and eight bearded hens were harvested.
Leading the state are: Franklin (814) Callaway (726), Osage (678), Texas (675), Macon (653) and Miller (635).
In 2023, the spring firearms total in Texas County was 781.
The season ends Sunday.
