Postal workers with the National Association of Letter Carriers conducted the annual “Stamp Out Hunger” food drive on Saturday, May 11.
Every second Saturday in May, letter carriers across America collect bags of non-perishable food from their postal customers, with the donations benefiting local food banks and pantries. It’s the largest one-day food drive in the nation.
Texas County Food Pantry executive director Laura Crowley said the facility received 1,670 pounds of food from this year’s campaign – 100 pounds more than last year.
