Marlene Bell Branson, 75, went to be with our Lord Wednesday, May 1t, 2024 in Denton, Texas.

Marlene was born June 5, 1948 to George R. and Glendolla (Crawford) Moise in Houston, Mo. She was united in marriage May 22, 1965 to Kenneth Allen Branson in Graff, Mo. Marlene retired from Slidell Independent School District after 37 years in Special Education Aid. She was a beloved, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, aunt and friend to many who will dearly miss her.

She was preceded in death by her parents, George and Glendolla Moise; her husband, Kenneth Branson; a brother, Michael Moise; 2 sisters, Elaine Colborn and Carollene Coats.

Those left behind to cherish her memory are her daughters, LaDawn Fitzgearld and husband Craig of Krum, Karla Stastny and husband Bubba of Sanger, and Krista Burger and husband Bradley of Pilot Point; grandchildren, Cassidy Copeland and husband Josh, Presley Chandler and husband Tye, Brittney Burger, Chandler Fitzgearld, Kennedee Stastny, Branson Burger and wife Madi, and Karson Stastny; six great-grandchildren, Jordyn, Jaxton & Jhett Copeland, Banks & Baker Chandler, and Bailey Burger; extended family members and a host of friends.

Funeral services were at 2 p.m. Tuesday, May 6, 2024 at First Baptist Church of Slidell with burial at Slidell Cemetery. Family received friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Monday at the church.

Pastor Todd Stevens officiated. Pallbearers included Craig Fitzgearld, Bubba Stastny, Bradley Burger, Branson Burger, Karson Stastny, Tye Chandler, Josh Copeland and Scott Hayes.
