Two persons were injured early Sunday after their vehicle struck a deer about four miles south of Houston on U.S. 63, the Missouri State Highway Patrol said.
MSgt. Dale Pounds said a northbound 2024 Subaru Outback driven by Debra E. Anderson, 45, of Moorhead, Minn., hit the deer.
Anderson, who was wearing a seat belt, had minor injuries and was taken by private vehicle to Texas County Memorial Hospital. A passenger, Elana P. Anderson, 19, of Moorhead, Minn., had moderate injuries and was taken to Texas County Memorial Hospital by private vehicle. She was wearing a seat belt.
The vehicle had extensive damage following the 5:30 a.m. accident.
