A woman was found lying on railroad tracks in Cabool with her leg pinned under a train car Sunday morning, authorities said.
At approximately 12:18 a.m., the Cabool Police Department received notification that an individual was trapped under a train car near a Britton Avenue residence in Cabool.
After locating the woman with her leg pinned, medical personnel worked to stabilize her condition while officers coordinated a rescue effort with the train crew.
She is currently in a Springfield hospital in critical condition.
Agencies assisting were the Cabool Fire Department, Texas County Memorial Hospital ambulance, Texas County Sheriff’s Department and the Missouri State Highway Patrol.
Investigation is ongoing.
