A Houston man is facing two felony charges following an investigation into an alleged child abuse incident on Monday, June 17, authorities said.
According to court documents, Rustin Miller, born in 1977, left a one-year old foster child in a vehicle with the engine off for approximately two hours. The child was taken to Texas County Memorial Hospital before being transported to the St. Louis Children’s Hospital with complications.
Miller – who went to the hospital with the child – was arrested Wednesday, June 26 at the Children’s Hospital and transported to the Texas County Jail.
The Texas County prosecutor charged Miller with felony charges of abuse or neglect of a child (class B) and endangering the welfare of a child (class B).
Bond is set at $2,000 cash-only.
