A full emergency response was underway at 8:30 a.m. Wednesday after a vehicle and horse-drawn buggy collided on Deason Drive west of Licking, authorities said.

Deason Drive is off West Highway 32.

It was one of several accidents reported in Troop G of the Missouri State Highway Patrol after heavy rain began to fall.

  1. I don’t know anything about this accident but I do know that there is a large Amish population in that area and cars and trucks have been traveling way to fast on that narrow road. Prayers for all involved

  2. I can tell you that some vehicles drive way too fast down these gravel roads and we’ve had several situations where in vehicles it was unsafe to be approaching them or ahead of them. So if it’s that unsafe, then imagine in buggies approaching those unsafe vehicles. If you had children out by the road how would you want people to drive by? Use the same care with the buggies. We all live among the community.
