There is hot and humid weather ahead, the National Weather Service says.
Today’s highs will be in the upper 80s to around 90 this afternoon with a mix of sun and clouds. Overnight lows will fall into the upper 60s to lower 70s.
Heat indices will be approaching and even exceeding 100 degrees this weekend into next week.
The National Weather Service says be sure to make any necessary preparations for dealing with oppressive heat, and be sure to check on elderly and vulnerable neighbors and family.
