UPDATED: Authorities said at about 7:15 a.m. the child has been found safe. According to West Plains police, a local business owner told officers that Joseph A. Raider and the missing 2-year-old had entered his business. He stated that he had immediately locked them inside the building and called the authorities.ย
EARLIER: The Missouri State Highway Patrol issued an Amber Alert overnight following a Howell County abduction.
Authorities said a parental abduction suspect took a child and left on foot.
Wanted is Joseph Anthony Raider, 30, who is a white male with brown hair, 145 pounds, 5โ 10โ, with brown eyes. He was wearing a black shirt, blue jeans and green ball cap.
Missing is Paxton Raider, 2, who has blond or strawberry color hair and was wearing a light pink and tan shirt with shorts. She has short curly hair and is a white female weighing 25 pounds, 2โ, 9โ and brown eyes.
They were last seen at about 8:58 p.m. Tuesday at 1702 Gibson in West Plains and were eastbound on foot.
Authorities said the suspect was possibly intoxicated and has made suicidal statements.
