The Cabool Police Department handled calls and incidents recently, including three peace disturbances.
The department reported 20 traffic stops resulting in 13 summons issued.
At 12:25 a.m. Saturday, July 27, Jacob Allred, 31, of Cabool, was traveling north on Zimmerman Drive in a 2015 Ford vehicle when he ran off the right side of the road and struck a mailbox and sewer main, authorities said. Allred was taken to Texas County Memorial Hospital in Houston with moderate injuries.
In total, police handled one accident, one alarm, four animal complaints, two civil matters, one domestic violence call, one juvenile matter, three peace disturbances, one property damage/vandalism incident, two stealing/theft incidents, assisted other agencies nine times, assisted the public 17 times and made one warrant arrest.
The fire department was dispatched 16 times.
