The Gamma Phi Chapter met July 13 at Pizza Americana in Willow Springs for the annual planning meeting.  Faye Wiersema, chapter president, opened the meeting with members saying the Pledge of Allegiance.  A 40-year certificate was presented to Elaine Campbell from Houston.  Suzette Litwiller gave a synopsis of the Delta Kappa Gamma state workshop meeting.  Gina Clinkingbeard read the correspondence and the treasurer, Mary Jane Lybyer, reported that the chapter has 26 members for the 2025-’26 year.

In other business, Mary Jane Lybyer presented the scholarship winners for this year.  They are

Kaylee Hall (Ava), Katharn Brennan (Cabool), Emma Spence (Willow Springs) and Deandra Huff (Ava). Each will receive a $500 toward their college expenses.

The theme for this year’s programs is “Open Minds, Shared Dreams.”  Members chose yearbook dates and developed programs reflecting this theme.  As always, wonderful conversations and good food from Pizza Americana were enjoyed by all.
