Services have been announced for a former state representative and educator.
Mark Hampton, 68, of Summersville, passed away June 23, 2024, in the Burko Hunting Area of the Moduli region of Tanzania, of apparent heart issues. He was an avid hunter, including exotic game.
Mr. Hampton’s visitation is 5 to 8 p.m. Friday, July 12, at Summersville High School Gym, 525 Rogers Ave. A service is 10 a.m. Saturday, July 13, at the gym. Burial will occur at 11 a.m. at the Summersville City Cemetery on Highway 17.
In lieu of flowers, donations in his memory may be made to the Summersville Cemetery or the Summersville Senior Housing. Donations can be left at Bradford Funeral Home at Summersville.
