A flood watch is in effect for Texas County from tonight through Tuesday night, the National Weather Service said.
About one to three inches of rainfall are expected in the watch area, which is east of a Branson to Rolla line tonight through Tuesday night.
The National Weather Service said there may be some localized amounts of four to six inches of rainfall. There will be much lower amounts in the western part of the state.
There is a marginal risk for a severe storm overnight into early Tuesday morning southeast of Springfield.
