Back-to-school is here and whether home-schooled or attending public school, the library is stocked full of books to help kids of all ages with reading and learning on all topics!

All you need is a library card, and it’s as easy as A-B-C to get one. Come on in!

Dreams can become reality, and I know this to be true every time I drive past the new Houston main branch library site. Walls are going up and it is getting very exciting. There is still some ways to go, but the contractor and library board are working hard to give Texas County a beautiful new library. If you would like to contribute to the new library, there are still NAP credits available for purchase. Contact me at 417-967-2258 for information.

Yes, that IS a life-size poster of Ms. Dolly Parton in the children’s section of all Texas County Libraries!  It’s to let everyone know that her Imagination Library is now being sponsored in Missouri, and every Missouri child in the state can receive a free book every month from birth until their 5th birthday!

To enroll a child, stop by any Texas County Library branch or go online to imaginationlibrary.com.
