​​The following are excerpts from reports recently generated by the Houston Police Department:

Between July 29 and Aug. 4, the Houston Police Department answered 181 calls for service and initiated 34 traffic stops resulting in 12 citations and 29 warnings.

  • On July 29, officers responded to the 300 block of Skyview Terrace for the report of a domestic dispute. It was found the altercation was only verbal and both parties agreed to separate for the evening.
  • On July 30, an officer was dispatched to Walmart for a theft. Following the investigation, Crystal Stricklan, 45, of Houston, was cited for Stealing Under $750.
  • On July 31, officers were dispatched to the area of Sommerfield Drive and U.S. 63 for a motor vehicle crash. During the investigation, it was found a tractor-trailer had struck an overhead line and taken down a utility pole. No injuries were reported.
  • On Aug. 1, an officer was dispatched to Walmart for multiple theft investigations. Following the investigation, Gabriella Hicks, 21, of Houston, was cited for two counts of Stealing Under $750.
  • On Aug. 1, officers arrested Ivan Barton, 43, of Houston, on an active Texas County warrant per charge DWI Aggravated Offender. Barton was incarcerated in the Texas County Jail after being unable to post the $1,500 cash bond.
  • On Aug. 1, officers arrested Amy Ivy, 33, of Houston, on two active warrants one out of Greene County per charge Non-Support, and one out of Summersville Police Department per charge Domestic Assault. Ivy was incarcerated in the Texas County Jail after being unable to post the $3,000 total bond.
  • On Aug. 2, officers were dispatched to the area of Second Street and Mill Street for a motor vehicle crash. Following the investigation, it was found a 2007 Chevrolet Silverado 3500 failed to yield crossing Second Street and was struck by a 2007 Chevrolet Malibu. No injuries were reported. 
  • On Aug. 2, officers were dispatched to the 500 block of North Grand Avenue for a domestic dispute. It was found the altercation was only verbal and both parties agreed to stay separated for the evening. 
  • On Aug. 3, officers were dispatched to the 300 block of West Pine Street for a peace disturbance and trespassing. Upon arrival, officers were confronted by Charles Dodson, 64, of Houston, who was belligerent and refused to cooperate with the investigation. Dodson was arrested and cited for Failure to Obey a Lawful Order and Resisting Arrest. 
  • On Aug. 3, officers were dispatched to Walmart for multiple thefts. Following the investigation Crystal Stricklan, 45, of Houston, was cited for two counts of Stealing Under $750. 
  • On Aug. 3, officers were dispatched to Walmart for a trespasser. Following the investigation, Roger Franklin, 63, of Houston, was cited for Trespassing 1st Degree. 
  • On Aug. 4, officers were dispatched to the 400 block of King Street for a domestic dispute. It was found the altercation was only verbal and both parties agreed to stay separated for the evening.
