​​The following are excerpts from reports recently generated by the Houston Police Department:
Between Aug. 5 and Aug. 11, the Houston Police Department answered 198 calls for service and initiated 50 traffic stops resulting in 16 citations and 49 warnings.
- On Aug. 5, Austin W. Rands, 30, of Cabool, was issued a citation for operating a motor vehicle without a valid operator’s license.
- On Aug. 5, officers responded to the 100 block of North Grand Avenue for a report of trespassing and theft. Following the investigation, officers cited Tammy L. Forester, 51, of Rolla, and Patrick S. O’Neal, 54, of Rolla, for trespassing and stealing under $750.
- On Aug. 6, officers were called to Texas County Memorial Hospital to investigate a dog bite incident.
- On Aug. 7, officers investigated a violation of a protection order. A report was forwarded to the Texas County Prosecutor’s Office for formal charges.
- On Aug. 7, officers responded to the 500 block of Oak Street for a domestic dispute. Both parties agreed to separate for the evening.
- On Aug. 9, officers responded to the 1400 block of S. Sam Houston Boulevard for a private property motor vehicle crash. A vehicle backing from a parking spot struck a pedestrian walking behind the vehicle. The pedestrian was transported to Texas County Memorial Hospital by ambulance.
- On Aug. 9, officers responded to the 1400 block of S. Sam Houston Boulevard for a theft investigation. Following the investigation, Rayann L. Wisdom, 57, of Salem, was issued two citations for stealing under $750 for thefts on two separate occasions.
- On Aug. 9, officers responded to the 600 block of West Ozark Street for a burglary. The investigation is ongoing.
- On Aug. 9, officers responded to the 6900 block of U.S. 63 for a private property motor vehicle crash. A vehicle towing another unit struck the canopy of a building. No injuries were reported.
- On Aug. 11, officers responded to Texas County Memorial Hospital for a dog bite incident.
