A Houston woman faces a felony drug charge after a Licking Police Department investigation shortly after midnight Aug. 22.
Joiemarie L. Saiz, 27, of 18023 Highway B in Houston, is charged with trafficking drugs – second degree (a class B felony).
At about 12:30 a.m., an LPD officer on patrol observed two people sitting next to Casey’s General Store and pulled into the parking lot. The officer then noticed a woman later identified as Saiz sitting next to the propane tanks display turn away and stuff something behind the tanks.
The officer made contact with the two people and advised them that Casey’s was closed, and they shouldn’t be there. After further investigation, the officer reportedly found a syringe full of a clear liquid and a small glass container with two red and black capsules inside.
Both items of evidence were seized, properly packaged and sent to the Missouri State Highway Patrol lab for analysis.
The officer then advised Saiz of her rights and asked what was in the capsules. Saiz reportedly replied, “fentanyl.”
She was arrested and taken to the Texas County Jail.
Cash-only bond on the charge is set at $2,000.

$2,000 that’s all to get busted with fentanyl! That’s what’s wrong stop slapping hands and throw the book at them!!
She should get some minor time just because of that smirking look.
