An inmate at the South Central Correctional Center at Licking died there Sunday morning, the Missouri Department of Corrections said Wednesday.
Ronald Morris, 44, was serving a 28-year sentence for first-degree assault/attempted assault of a law enforcement officer, corrections officer, emergency personnel, probation or parole officer, a 50-year sentence for armed criminal action and a 13-year sentence for second-degree assault/attempted assault of a law enforcement officer, corrections officer, emergency personnel, probation or parole officer from Clay County.
Morris had been incarcerated since October 2019.
An autopsy will be conducted, the department said.
