Area veterans’ medical care will advance after the West Plains City Council approved a building permit for a new 20,000 square foot clinic for the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs.
It is to be located on Doctors Drive in the Howell Valley Medical Complex. The current VA clinic is on Highway K near Trinity Center.
The council also accepted a site development plan, which includes a future expansion of about 10,000 square feet.
Veterans in Texas County are among those using the facility.
