A three-vehicle accident Sunday afternoon in Texas County left two injured, the Missouri State Highway Patrol said.

A 17-year-old juvenile from Willow Springs was driving a 1992 Ford F-150 southbound on U.S. 63 five miles south of Houston when he struck the rear of a 2005 Ford F-150 driven by Joseph P. Frydrych, 81, of Solo, and overturned, patrol said. After impact, Frydrych’s vehicle crossed the center of the road and struck the towed unit of a 2020 Ford F-150 driven by James P. Scroggins, 46, of Bunker Hill, Illinois, patrol said.

The juvenile sought private medical treatment for minor injuries. Frydrych was transported by ambulance to Texas County Memorial Hospital in Houston with minor injuries.

Everyone involved was wearing a safety device.
