Texas County is under a heat advisory from noon to 9 p.m. today. (Thursday, Aug. 15).
It will be warmer with heat index values of between 100 to 105 degrees. There is a slight risk for severe storms today, the National Weather Service said. A marginal risk for several storms exists Friday, it said.
