One person is charged following an incident north of Cabool, authorities said.

Abbigale Cass, 20, address not listed, was arrested on charges of first-degree burglary, a class B felony, and third-degree assault, class E felony, on Thursday, Aug. 1, following an investigation by the Texas County Sheriff’s Department on Cloverdale Road. She is held on a $5,000 cash bond.

Witnesses alleged that Cass entered a home without permission and assaulted a victim by pulling her hair and removed her from bed onto the floor. Additionally, it alleged that objects were destroyed. The victim had injuries above her right eye, a cut on her leg and slight scrapes on her face, authorities said.

According to a report, Cass left the home later to return and depart again. Abbigale and another person were later stopped in a vehicle by the Cabool Police Department.

Cass denied she had dragged the victim from a bed, and during the fight that some items had been destroyed, including a fan and light, but denied destroying following the altercation.

Cass is in the Texas County Jail.
