With a go-ahead touchdown late in the game, the Houston High School junior varsity football team won Monday at Salem, 12-6.
Both of Houston’s touchdowns came on passes from sophomore quarterback Kane Crawford to sophomore wide receiver Dillon Shelton.
After the host Tigers took a 6-0 lead in the first quarter, the visiting Tigers tied the score in the third period and then secured the victory with a TD late in the fourth quarter.
Junior defensive back Jakob Lee had two interceptions for Houston in the contest.
The JV Tigers (3-1) host Cabool on Monday (Sept. 23).
