Sophomore quarterback Kane Crawford threw touchdown passes to three different receivers and the Houston High School junior varsity football team beat Rock Bridge 26-0 in the season opener on Tuesday at Tiger Stadium.

Crawford tossed two scoring passes to sophomore Dillon Shelton and one to junior Jakob Lee.

Houston also scored on a run by freshman Quentin Moritz in the fourth quarter.

Crawford also ran for a 2-point conversion after the TD by Lee.

On defense, freshman defensive back Garrett Allen had an interception for the Tigers and sophomore linebacker Carter Allen recovered a fumble. 

The Rock Bridge squad was a split JV/Freshmen group.

A pair of Junior Tigers split squads will play on Monday of next week, one at home against Liberty and the other on the road at Springfield Catholic. Both games will kick off at 6 p.m.
