The Phelps County prosecutor will become this area’s next circuit judge.
Brendon Fox of Rolla was appointed Friday as the circuit judge for the 25th Judicial Circuit by Gov. Mike Parson. Fox will replace John Beger, who announced earlier he was stepping down due to the state’s mandatory retirement at age 70. His last day is Oct. 11. He has served since 2015.
Fox holds a bachelor’s degree in sociology and art history from Stanford University and a law degree from the University of Missouri–Columbia.
The circuit includes Phelps, Texas, Pulaski and Maries counties. The other circuit judge is Bill Hickle.
