Three performances last week at the Melba Performing Arts Center featured “The Greatest Show,” a live cover of the Hugh Jackman mega-hit movie. Three more will occur later this week.

“The Greatest Show” has an amazing cast, including vocals by James Lange, Bella Brown, Andrew Colbert, Sophia Cameron, Elijah Adams, Mary Colbert, Bailey Gilkeson, Samuel Thomas and Amber Fuqua, to name a few.

With the direction from Rebecca Peterson, the stage was energized with dancing, acrobatics, hooping, aerials, taekwondo, clogging and other acts.

The show includes original music by Clay Frescoln and choreography created and performed by Bailey Gilkeson and Abigayle Peterson. A variety of acts are presented by Chloe Barner, Madison Fowers, Zaryana Sharaskina, Kyleigh Richardson, Macey Lambe, the Heaton family, Clara Norris, Abigail Smith, KayLee Reed, Phoebe Smith, Eliza Call and a stellar ensemble cast.

Three more performances are at the Melba: 7 p.m. Friday and Saturday. There also is a Saturday matinee at 3 p.m.

Three performances will also be at the Civic Center in West Plains on 7 p.m. Friday, Nov. 1, and 3 and 7 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 2.

The STARS Foundation is a non-profit organization that teaches a wide variety of fine arts to students from six different counties.
