​​The following are excerpts from reports recently generated by the Houston Police Department:

Between Oct. 14 and Oct. 20, the Houston Police Department answered 214 calls for service and initiated 52 traffic stops resulting in 17 citations and 40 warnings.

  • On Oct. 15, officers responded to the 1400 block of S. Sam Houston Boulevard for a report of theft. Officers arrested and cited Dayton A. Terrill-Austin, 27, of Springfield, for stealing under $750 (shoplifting).
  • On Oct. 15, officers responded to the 16000 block of Oak Hill Drive for a report of property damage. It was determined that there was no intentional property damage and the case was closed.
  • On Oct. 17, officers cited Megan L. Setters, 29, of Summersville, for failure to abate a nuisance.
  • On Oct. 18, officers responded to the 1400 block of S. Sam Houston Boulevard for a report of forgery. A counterfeit $20 was passed at the business. The investigation is ongoing.
  • On Oct. 18, officers responded to the intersection of W. Highway 17 and U.S. 63 for a motor vehicle crash. A 2019 Hyundai operated by Mackenzie L. Wolfe, 19, of Raymondville, struck the rear of a 2018 Buick operated by Ronald L. York, 70, of Plato. No injuries were reported. Wolfe was cited for following too closely.
  • On Oct. 18, officers arrested and cited Sterling W. Ingram, 43, of Licking, for driving while intoxicated (alcohol).
  • On Oct. 20, officers responded to the 400 block of King Street for a peace disturbance. The investigation is ongoing.
  • On Oct. 20, officers responded to the intersection of Cleveland Road and C.W. Harry Drive for a motor vehicle crash. A vehicle struck a stop sign and some trash cans before leaving the scene. The investigation is ongoing.
