Three new Missouri State Highway Patrol officers will be assigned to this area’s troop, including one in Texas County.
Capt. Bruce Fiske said they graduated Oct. 11 from the patrol’s academy in Jefferson City.
Tpr. Nathan M. Bogart has been assigned to Zone 2, which serves Texas and Wright counties. A native of Macomb, Bogart graduated from Mansfield High School in 2012. Before joining the Missouri State Highway Patrol, he served as a specialist in the U.S. Army Reserve and worked as a patrolman for the Mansfield Police Department.

Tpr. Benjamin A. Swink has been assigned to Zone 3, which serves northern Howell and Shannon counties. He is a native of Aspermont, Texas, and a 2003 graduate of Aspermont High School. Before joining the patrol, Swink served in the U.S. Air Force and worked as an agent for the U.S. Border Patrol in McAllen, Texas. He is married to Tpr. Sarah Swink.
Tpr. Sarah Swink has been assigned to Zone 4, which serves northern Howell and Shannon counties. She is originally from Portales, N.M., and graduated from Central Valley High School in Spokane Valley, Wash., in 2011. Sarah Swink holds a degree in criminal justice from Brandman University. Before joining the patrol, she served in the U.S. Air Force and worked as a police officer for the Mission Police Department in Texas.
Trooper Benjamin Swink accepted the Physical Fitness Award during the graduation ceremony.
