There is a widespread elevated fire weather danger today in the region with afternoon humidity levels dipping into the 20 to 30 percent range, the National Weather Service said.

Area departments responded to fires on Saturday.

The National Weather Service said northerly wind gusts of 15 to 20 miles per hour will be possible. 

Residents are advised not to burn.
