The Community Blood Center of the Ozarks will hold a blood drive Friday, Dec. 6, at the First Christian Church in Houston.

Hours are 12:30 to 5:30 p.m. in the basement at 202 E. Highway 17.

The center provides a variety of blood products to 45 area healthcare facilities, including Texas County Memorial Hospital in Houston.

Donors will receive a fleece blanket, while supplies last.

“The need for blood often rises during the winter months and holiday season” said Michelle Teter, media relations representative at Community Blood Center of the Ozarks. “In just an hour, you can give the most meaningful gift of the season, the gift of life.”
