The following are excerpts from just some of the reports recently generated by the Texas County Sheriff’s Department:

  • On Nov. 3, a deputy was dispatched regarding a report of a domestic assault involving a 29-year-old man and 24-year-old woman at a Dogwood Road residence at Mountain Grove.

After investigation, the man was arrested and taken to jail, and a probable cause statement was sent to the country prosecutor seeking a charge against him.

  • On Sept. 21, a deputy was dispatched regarding a domestic disturbance involving a 46-year-old man and a 20-year-old man at a Brushy Creek Road residence at Houston.

After investigation, the older man was arrested and taken to jail. On Oct. 31, a probable cause statement was sent to the county prosecutor seeking a charge against him.

  • On Oct. 30, a deputy investigated a report of a missing person.

The officer spoke with a 59-year-old woman who said a 28-year-old woman who she is legal guardian over had run away from their Union Road residence at Cabool.

The woman said she had contacted everyone she knows and had not received any information about the missing woman.

At about 6 p.m., Cabool police located the missing woman at a church inside city limits. She was returned to her family.

  • On Oct. 31, a 47-year-old Plato man reported that an Echo chainsaw valued at $425.64 had been stolen from the bed of his pickup while it was parked at his Gentry Lane residence. Investigation is ongoing.
  • On Oct. 25, a towing company was asked to remove a vehicle that had been blocking the gas pumps at Pittman’s Store in Success for several days.

The silver Chevrolet 2500 pickup was owned by a man who had been arrested and advised to have his girlfriend move it, but that didn’t happen.
