​​The following are excerpts from reports recently generated by the Houston Police Department:

Between Nov. 11 and Nov. 17, the Houston Police Department answered 190 calls for service and initiated 27 traffic stops resulting in five citations and 26 warnings.

  • On Nov. 11, officers responded to the 200 block of Grand Avenue for a report of a domestic dispute. It was found the altercation was only verbal and both parties agreed to separate for the evening.
  • On Nov. 11, an officer was dispatched to Walmart for a report of theft. The investigation is ongoing.
  • On Nov. 12, an officer arrested Gregory Gathe on a Texas County warrant per charge of possession of a controlled substance. Gathe was incarcerated in the Texas County Jail without bond. 
  • On Nov. 12, an officer conducted a traffic stop on a female. During the stop, the officer located methamphetamine and drug paraphernalia in the vehicle. The report was forwarded to the Texas County prosecuting attorney for review and formal charges.
  • On Nov. 13, officers were dispatched to the 400 block of Second Street for a report of a vehicle theft. During the investigation, the vehicle was found abandoned in Waynesville, Missouri. Five juvenile suspects were identified, and a report will be forwarded to the Texas County Juvenile Office for charges. 
  • On Nov. 13, officers were dispatched to the 200 block of Chestnut Street for property damage. This investigation is ongoing. 
  • On Nov. 13, officers were dispatched to the 700 block of Hawthorn Street for a report of theft from two motor vehicles. Officers were able to identify a juvenile suspect, and a report will be forwarded to the Texas County Juvenile Office for charges.
  • On Nov. 13, officers were dispatched to the 600 block of Cleveland Road for an abandoned vehicle. During the investigation, it was found the vehicle had been stolen from Waynesville, Missouri. A juvenile suspect was identified, and a report will be forwarded to the Texas County juvenile officer for charges.
  • On Nov. 14, officers arrested Elizabeth Heiney, 30, on a Texas County warrant per charges of delivery of a controlled substance except 35 grams or less of marijuana and conspiracy to commit class A/B/C felony. Heiney was incarcerated in the Texas County Jail after being unable to post the $2,500 cash-only bond.
  •  On Nov. 16, officers arrested Crystal Strickland, 45, on a Texas County warrant per charge stealing – 4th or subsequent stealing offense within 10 years. Strickland was incarcerated in the Texas County Jail after being unable to post the $1,000 cash-only bond. 
  • On Nov. 17, officers were dispatched to the 100 block of Grand Avenue for a report of an assault with a weapon. During the investigation, two male subjects were found to have assaulted each other. Both males were arrested for second-degree assault and taken to the Texas County Jail. A report was forwarded to the Texas County Prosecutor for charges. 
  • On Nov. 17, officers were dispatched to the 400 block of King Street for a domestic assault. During the investigation, it was found a male had slapped the victim causing injuries. The male subject was arrested for third-degree domestic assault and taken to the Texas County Jail. A report was forwarded to the Texas County Prosecutor for charges.
