​​The following are excerpts from reports recently generated by the Houston Police Department:

Between Nov. 18 and Nov. 24, the Houston Police Department answered 154 calls for service and initiated 26 traffic stops resulting in 10 citations and 23 warnings.

  • On Nov. 18, officers responded to the 400 block of North Grand Avenue for a report of a domestic dispute. It was found the altercation was only verbal and both parties agreed to separate for the evening.
  • On Nov. 18, Billie Petersen, age 49 of Houston, was cited for driving while suspended.
  • On Nov. 18, an officer arrested James Jones, age 35 of Houston, on a Texas County warrant per charge of unlawful use of a weapon subsection 4-exhibiting. Jones was incarcerated in the Texas County Jail with a $5,000 cash-only bond. 
  • On Nov. 20, an officer was dispatched to a motor vehicle crash in the Walmart parking lot. After the investigation, it was found that a 2022 Buick Encore was backing from a parking space and struck a 2020 Ford Expedition. 
  • On Nov. 22, an officer was dispatched to Walmart for a report of a theft. Following the investigation, Chad Schneider, age 39 of Houston, was cited for stealing under $750. 
  • On Nov. 24, Patience Carter, age 29 of Houston, was arrested and cited per charges of driving while intoxicated, resisting arrest, operating a motor vehicle without a valid driver’s license, no insurance and no headlights when required, following a traffic stop. 
  • On Nov. 24, officers were dispatched to Walmart for multiple thefts. Following the investigation, Ginger Betley, age 54 of Mount Carmel, Tennessee, was arrested and cited for two counts of stealing under $750. 
  • On Nov. 24, officers were dispatched to the 300 block of Forrest Drive for an animal attack. Following the investigation, Heidi Jurey, age 56 of Houston, was cited for allowing an animal to run at large.
