An inmate at the South Central Correctional Center at Licking died at Mercy Hospital in Springfield early Thursday morning, the Missouri Department of Corrections said.
Eria Doss, 33, was serving a 79-year sentence for four counts of second-degree murder, three counts of first-degree robbery and six counts of armed criminal action from Jackson County, and delivery or possession of a weapon at a correctional center out of Texas County.
Doss was received in the Missouri Department of Corrections in May 2011.
An autopsy will be conducted, the department said.
