A Houston man faces a weapons charge after he came after a man Sunday with a knife, the Houston Police Department reports.
James D. Jones, of the 400 block of North Grand Avenue and born in 1989, is charged with unlawful use of a weapon, a class E felony. Bond is set at $5,000 cash only.
A man alleged Jones came at him with a knife in a threatening manner. The victim said he was unaware of a motive.
Jones said the victim came at him with a screwdriver before the incident.
Police obtained video, they said, that appears to show a knife in Jones’ hands. It was taken by a security camera, according to a report. The video also shows Jones walking toward the victim before a witness steps between them, police said.
