The City of Houston announced the winners of its “Light Up Houston” Christmas lighting contest where residents and businesses could receive utility credits. 

In the residential category, the winners were 1096 N. Industrial Drive, first place; 111 Wyn St., second place; and 520 Oak St., third place. Those residents received utility credits in the amount of $250, $175 and $100, respectively. 

In the business category, the winners were Shelbi Dixon – American Family Insurance, first place; Hometown Barber Shop, second place; and D&L Florist, third place. Those businesses received utility credits in the amount of $500, $300 and $150, respectively. 

Judging took place Saturday, Dec. 21. The residential category had 12 entries, business had four.
