The City of Houston is hosting a “Light Up Houston” Christmas lighting contest where residents and businesses can receive utility credits. 

Houses and businesses inside city limits can call city hall (417-967-3348) to register their address in the free contest. 

The residential credits from first to third place are $250, $175 and $100. The business contest credit amounts are $500, $300, $150.

Judging is from 6 to 8 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 21.
