Deputy’s report: Woman claims son punched holes in walls and threw a brick at her car

The following are excerpts from just some of the reports recently generated by the Texas County Sheriff’s Department:

• At about 4 p.m. Dec. 9, a deputy was dispatched to the Roby Saddle Club regarding a domestic incident in progress.

The officer made contact with a 46-year-old man and 41-year-old woman there, and the man said he and his 16-year-old daughter had been in an argument and she had struck him in the face.

The girl told the deputy she had hit the man on his shoulder, and he had then grabbed her and dragged her to their vehicle. She said she wasn’t injured and didn’t need EMS assistance, and that she felt safe going home with her parents.

No arrest was made.

• At about 1:30 p.m. Dec. 2, a deputy was dispatched regarding a report of a domestic incident at a Bado Road residence in Cabool.

The officer made contact with a 40-year-old woman there who said her 14-year-old son had been in a verbal altercation with her and a physical altercation with other family members. She told the officer the boy had punched holes and torn down walls, thrown hot water off the stove and thrown a brick at her car.

The deputy observed damage consistent with the story.

The officer spoke with the boy, and he said he woke up feeling sick and didn’t know what caused his actions.

A report was sent to the county juvenile office.
