The Houston Rural Fire Department was called just before 5 a.m. Monday to a motor vehicle accident on South U.S. 63, authorities said.

A vehicle had hydroplaned at Simmons near Highway Z south of Houston, it was reported.

The patient was loaded into an ambulance, and the fire department’s aid wasn’t required. It turned around. The vehicle was about 30 feet off the roadway, authorities said.
