Georgia Belle (Bryan) Branson was born July 25, 1933 at Cortez, Colorado to Clara Ann Rutherford and Floyd Wayne Bryan. She passed away Dec. 4, 2024 at the Houston House Nursing Center in Houston, Missouri at the age of 91 years, 4 months.
She was united in marriage to Donald Ray Branson June 22, 1953, and to their union two children were born, David and Helen.
Georgia attended Ozark Baptist Church and actively contributed to their quilting ministry.
Her passion for sewing and quilting brought warmth and comfort to many. She also enjoyed fishing, gardening and cooking delicious meals for family. Georgia’s greatest joy was spending time with her loved ones, especially spoiling her grandkids and great-grandkids.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Ray and all her brothers, sisters and brother and sisters-in-law.
Georgia is survived by her children, David Branson and wife Nancy of Houston; Helen Brawley and husband James of Summersville; grandchildren, Elizabeth McCormick and husband Sean of West Plains; Sara Jo Flora and husband James of Stockton; Brandon Brawley and wife Becky of Hartshorn; Pamela Brawley and Luke Bourgoin of Summersville; Shanna Frazier and husband Tobias of Marshfield; Timothy (T.J.) Brawley and wife Kayla of Mountain View; great-grandchildren, Brayden Brawley, J.J. Wilson and wife Sydney, Austin Smith, Reagyn Frazier, Abby Flora, Ellie Flora, James Flora, Karlyssa Smith, Briar Brawley, Kolby Flora, Kaelyn Brawley, Kyndall Brawley, Nolan Frazier, Ami Frazier, Abi Frazier, Raiden Nickoli and Devin Nickoli.
Georgia’s sweet spirit was an inspiration to everyone. Her kindness, creativity and unwavering love for her family will remain in the hearts of those she touched forever.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m., Monday, Dec. 9, 2024, at the Ozark Baptist Church with Pastors Brandon Brawley and Jim Flora officiating. Visitation will be held from 10 a.m. until the service time on Monday at the church. Interment will be in Ozark Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations in Georgia’s memory may be made to Ozark Cemetery.
