​​The following are excerpts from reports recently generated by the Houston Police Department:

Between Dec. 9 and Dec. 15, the Houston Police Department answered 164 calls for service and initiated 29 traffic stops, which resulted in seven citations and 28 warnings.

  • On Dec. 9, officers took a missing persons report. The subject was located later in the day and the case was closed.
  • On Dec. 9, officers investigated a two-vehicle motor vehicle crash on U.S. 63, near Indian Creek Trail. No injuries were reported in the crash and both vehicles were towed from the scene.
  • On Dec. 9, officers cited Roger S. Hill, 63, of Remer, Minnesota, for operating a motor vehicle without a valid operator’s license.
  • On Dec. 10, officers were dispatched to the 1400 block of S. Sam Houston Boulevard for a theft. After conducting an investigation, officers cited Ronald L. Baum Jr., 36, of Houston, for stealing under $750.
  • On Dec. 10, officers responded to a business in the 1400 block of S. Sam Houston Boulevard for a subject causing a peace disturbance. After conducting an investigation, officers cited Eddie L. Watts, 41, of Springfield, for property damage and peace disturbance.
  • On Dec. 11, officers responded to the 100 block of N. Grand Avenue for the theft of a controlled substance. The suspect was located in a nearby business and placed under arrest. The controlled substance was recovered and the suspect was incarcerated in the Texas County Jail. A report was forwarded to the Texas County Prosecuting Attorney for formal charges.
  • On Dec. 11, officers investigated a domestic dispute in the 400 block of E. Main Street. Both parties had separated before the officers arrived. 
  • On Dec. 12, officers received a report of sexual abuse. The investigation is ongoing at this time.
  • On Dec. 12, officers responded to a residence on Hamrick Street for a death investigation. The death was determined to be of natural causes.
  • On Dec. 12, officers responded to the 1300 block of S. Sam Houston Boulevard for a reported assault. The investigation is ongoing at this time.
  • On Dec. 13, officers received a report of fraudulent use of a credit/debit device. This investigation is ongoing.
  • On Dec. 13, officers responded to a domestic dispute on U.S. 63, near Emmett Kelly Park. Both parties separated for the evening.
  • On Dec. 15, officers responded to the 100 block of E. Cedar Street for vehicle tampering. The investigation is ongoing.
