​​The following are excerpts from reports recently generated by the Houston Police Department:

Between Dec. 2 and Dec. 8, the Houston Police Department answered 148 calls for service and initiated 22 traffic stops, which resulted in seven citations and 22 warnings.

  • On Monday, Dec. 2, an officer on patrol observed a suspicious person standing next to a vehicle in the 700 block of S. Hamrick Street. Upon further investigation, the officer discovered the juvenile female was in possession of a stolen vehicle. The vehicle had been stolen from a residence on Chestnut Street earlier in the evening. The vehicle was returned to its owner and a report was forwarded to the Texas County Juvenile Office for formal charges on the juvenile.
  • On Monday, Dec. 2, officers discovered the theft of another motor vehicle from the 300 block of W. Mill Street. The vehicle had been stolen, driven over 100 miles, and later returned to the owner’s residence by the suspects. Suspects were identified and a report was forwarded to the Texas County Juvenile Office for formal charges.
  • On Monday, Dec. 2, officers took a report of the theft of car keys from another vehicle on W. Chestnut Street. The keys were recovered and returned to the owner. Suspects were identified and a report was forwarded to the Texas County Juvenile Office for formal charges.
  • On Tuesday, Dec. 3, officers cited Debra L. Ellison, 61, of Houston, for stealing under $750-Shoplifting regarding a theft at a business in the 1400 block of S. Sam Houston Boulevard.

  • On Tuesday, Dec. 3, officers were called to a business in the 1400 block of S. Sam Houston Boulevard for a theft. The investigation is ongoing at this time.
  • On Wednesday, Dec. 4, an officer conducted a traffic stop near Highway 17 Terrace and discovered the vehicle was stolen from Laclede County. The vehicle was seized and returned to the owner. The owner declined to pursue charges on the occupants of the vehicle.
  • On Wednesday, Dec. 4, officers cited Amber N. Burke, 40, of Lebanon, for driving while suspended.
  • On Wednesday, Dec. 4, officers investigated a motor vehicle crash in the 1400 block of S. Sam Houston Boulevard. No injuries were reported and only minor damage. This crash was a delayed report and was not investigated at the scene as both parties left the scene at the time of the crash.
  • On Wednesday, Dec. 4, officers arrested Jackson C. Morgan, 47, of Houston, on an active Greene County warrant per charge resisting arrest. Morgan was transported to the Texas County Jail, where he was incarcerated after being unable to post the $2,500 bond.
  • On Wednesday, Dec. 4, officers responded to the 1200 block of W. Ozark Street for a domestic dispute. The issue was resolved and no action was taken by officers.
  • On Wednesday, Dec. 4, officers cited Jekeromic Kelly, 25, of Licking, for driving while suspended.
  • On Thursday, Dec. 5, officers arrested Teresa Kinnaird, 62, of Licking, on an active Texas County warrant per charge possession of a controlled substance. Kinnaird was transported to the Texas County Jail, where she was incarcerated.
  • On Friday, Dec. 6, officers responded to Forrest Drive for a domestic dispute. Both parties separated for the evening.
  • On Friday, Dec. 6, officers responded to the 200 block of S. Second Street for a report of property damage. The investigation is ongoing at this time.
  • On Saturday, Dec. 7, officers responded to the 1400 block of S. Sam Houston Boulevard for a theft. A suspect was identified and the property was recovered. The victim declined to prosecute.
  • On Sunday, Dec. 8, officers responded to the 700 block of W. Highway 17 for a domestic dispute. The altercation was resolved upon the officers’ arrival and both parties had already separated.
