It’s one of the biggest volunteer-led efforts in the county annually, and the Texas County Food Pantry is always seeking help on the project.

The pantry oversees the Salvation Army Kettle and its bellringers. It is a familiar site for shoppers at the front door of the Houston Walmart Supercenter on South U.S. 63.

Collections benefit needy individuals throughout the year and it is a critical piece of support for many. Nearly all the proceeds remain in the county.
