An inmate at the South Central Correctional Center at Licking died at Cox South Hospital in Springfield Friday afternoon, the Missouri Department of Corrections said.
Michael Crawford, 50, was serving a life without + 90 years sentence for one count of first-degree murder, two counts of armed criminal action and one count of first-degree assault out of St. Louis County.
Crawford was received in the Missouri Department of Corrections in November 2002.
An autopsy will be conducted, the department said.
