A Licking dump truck driver escaped injury Tuesday morning in an accident on Highway EE about three miles south of Highway 32 in Dent County, the Missouri State Highway Patrol.
Cpl. Gregory Moravec said a 2002 International dump truck was traveling eastbound operated by a 62-year-old Licking man and a 2006 Sterling dump truck was headed westbound when they struck each other’s mirrors. The Sterling driver, a 74-year-old man from Jadwin, was struck by his vehicle’s mirror. He was taken by private vehicle to Salem Memorial Hospital with minor injuries.
Both vehicles had minor damage, Moravec said. Each driver was wearing a seat belt.
No names were released per a state patrol policy instituted last month.
