Michael Harold Jonathan Clark was born to Harold D. L. and Ruth Clark on Dec. 3, 1962, in Troy, Missouri. They lived in Wentzville, Missouri. He passed away on Dec. 6, 2024, at home in Houston, Missouri.
Michael was preceded in death by his son, Seth Clark; father, Harold D.L. Clark; mother, Ruth (Sanders) Skyles Clark Sykes; one brother, David Clark; niece, Vashta Moore Keehner; brothers-in-law, Phillip Carnes and Theron Carnes; and his sister’s husband, Donald C. Morgan.
Michael grew up in the Ellis Prairie area and graduated from Houston High School. He accepted Jesus as his savior as a young child and trusted in Him. He became a member of the Assemblies of God.
Michael met and married Bridgett Carnes, love of his life, and married her on Sept. 5, 1985. They shared 39 years together and had two sons, Seth and Adam.
Michael worked at H.D. Lee’s until it closed and then went through trucking class training and became a trucker for 33 years.
Michael has three granddaughters; Vannessa, Illithyia and Renly and two grandsons; Phillip and Kai.
Michael will be greatly missed by his wife, Bridgett, grandchildren, nieces, nephews and many other family and friends.
A funeral service for Michael will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday, Dec. 12, 2024, at Evans Funeral Home in Houston. A visitation will be held two hours prior, beginning at noon. Interment will follow at Ellis Prairie Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Adam Clark, Phillip Clark, Hope Fuwell, Amy Pitts, Victoria Pitts, Vannessa Clark and Olivia Fitts.
