Area fire departments were called at about 6 a.m. Thursday to a reported structure fire on Highway C at Licking, authorities said.

Licking Fire Department and mutual aid from Raymondville Fire Department, Houston Rural Fire Department and Lenox Fire Department were sought.

One structure was engulfed and two nearby trailers were said to be endangered, authorities said.

Fire Chief Aaron Greathouse said about 20,000 gallons of water were used at the scene, which was about five miles north of Highway 32.

There were no injuries. One pet died in the fire, he said.
