The Houston R-1 School District is in possession of a class of 1968 ring, and is looking to find its owner.

According to the district, an Illinois woman mailed the ring to the school. It has the initials “L” and “P” on the sides. It was found by the woman’s grandfather, Spurgeon Burch, inside a rental house and was later passed onto her mother, Marjorie Burch, who grew up in Solo.

While recently cleaning out her mother’s home, the ring was found and sent to the district.

  1. Wouldn’t it make sense to look at the school rolls for that yr? If they didn’t graduate look in the jr year sense that is the yr you get your class ring.

  2. No one listed in yearbook for graduating in 1968.

    There is a Linda Parker listed in the 1967 yearbook as a Junior.
